About me
Dear reader,
Please hold this thread while I measure it.
My name is Natasha, a curious fireball surveying an ineffable threaded network of linguistic and visual utterances. A chameleon that has bent the knee to its ever-changing, dynamic nature with tenacity and curiosity.
I was born in the spine of Gutenberg’s dream. Cultivating my wits, I quickly, fervently observed a community of creative professionals with a thirst for learning how to sharpen my proverbial sword – my pen.
A trained publisher with a BIS Degree in Publishing from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, I have unravelled (and put together) many of the processes that weave a story’s thread. A story? Well, it can hold a frame, lay awake in a pixel, or flirt with semiotics. It is the fiber that comprises this string. I have spent time with my cheek intimately pressed against many a manuscript as a language editor of over 70 books. In have also published several publications, including scholarly peer-reviewed monographs, textbooks and various other fiction titles.
My curiosity inevitably spilled over into user journeys where I gained valuable insight and experience as a UX & UI designer. A chapter in advertising as a copywriter saw a parallel universe of linguistic strategy open – pulling the strings of radio, television and social media campaigns.
For me, it is about asking, gravitating, adapting, collaborating, digesting. The protagonist on this page, I seek innovation, I desire a multitude of canvases, I carry intuition, I provoke contribution, I encourage growth, I value hard work, I engage in conversation and I pro-actively chase the developments in my industry.
Well reader, we have not found the end of this string yet. But do come along the journey.
